Origin of orbital selective phase transitions

It was pointed out that the Kondo-breakdown transition is a particular form of an obital selective Mott transition (OSMT) where electrons undergoing Mott localization are in the Kondo limit[1,2,3]. In this talk, besides the known mechanism, like different bandwidth or different degeneracies of the orbitals, I will introduce a new mechanism for OSMT which induces the coexistence of localized and delocalized electrons.
