Kondo temperature of a quantum dot

Unlike in the conventional Anderson impurity model, a single-particle level spacing in a quantum dot is small compared with the charging energy. In this talk, I will discuss the dependence of the Kondo temperature of a strongly blockaded quantum dot on the gate voltage. The dependence turns out to be different from that in the Anderson model. The difference is more pronounced when the gate voltage approaches the mixed-valence regions, where the Kondo temperature is dramatically enhanced.
