The field of quantum chaos brings together an amazing range of sub-fields spanning atomic, nuclear, and mesoscopic physics as well as optics and acoustics. The common theme uniting all of these sub-fields is the study of quantum signatures of the underlying classical chaos. In the past, quantum chaos was mostly a theoretical topic, however, it is now being tested in new experimental systems that have emerged over the past twenty years and continue to develop, making it a rich and vibrant field of research.

The aim of this international meeting is to formulate what has been achieved in the last years, where we have arrived at present, and what are the urgent questions ahead of us. By bringing together experts from the fields of photonic, electronic, atomic, and nanoelectromechanical mesoscopic systems, both from theory and experiment, we want to provide the venue for a stimulating exchange of ideas and concepts across the various fields through discussions of the impact of nonlinear dynamics and quantum chaos on the properties of mesoscopic systems.

During the workshop (May 19 - 22), invited and contributed talks will focus on the most recent experiments and the latest theoretical developments in the field. The seminar (May 23 - 30) will then continue with time reserved for discussions as well as lectures, talks, and posters where we want to give in particular younger researchers the opportunity to present their own research topics.
