Nonlinear current response of interacting fermion systems

Several systems of interacting fermions have been studied with respect to their real-time response to driving electric field. Using equations of motion and numerical methods we show that 1D system of spinless fermions at finite temperatures shows a qualitatively different behaviour between the integrable and nonintegrable case. While in the latter case the nonlinearity can be taken into account with a generalized linear response, integrable system reveals only damped oscillating current. Results for the driven quasiparticle in a t-J model in a ladder and square lattice will be also presented.
