We present extensive quantum Monte Carlo studies of the metal-Anderson insulator phase transition in the Anderson-Hubbard model in two dimensions. We present numerical evidence that the dc conductivity at the critical point of such a transition is a universal number (in units of the quantum of conductance) independent of underlying macroscopic parameters. These investigations help us to establish a link between our numerical research on a lattice and existing analytical research of the metal-insulator transition in the continuum. |
