We designed a fluidized bed set-up to investigate the fluidization and sedimentation processes of actively driven particles. We use 20µm sized platinum-coated Janus-spheres and hydrogen-peroxide as fuel. The particles are driven by the concentration-gradient induced by the dissociation of hydrogen-peroxide to oxygen and hydrogen. We will present data on the fluidization and sedimentation rate as a function of fuel-concentration. |
