Recently, ultracold Rydberg atoms got lot of attention due to their interesting properties offered by the Rydberg-Rydberg interactions, and large tunability of interactions. We discuss the possibility of tailoring spin Hamiltonians by exploring such interactions in Rydberg atoms. In particular, we discuss the possibility of obtaining spin-1/2 and spin-1 hamiltonians, and explore the properties and possible phases of such systems. |
