We discuss a possible many-body nature of the spectral gap observed at strong fields in graphene. The two pertinent mechanisms, a generic Quantum Hall Ferromagnet and a graphene-specific "magnetic catalysis" scenario, are described on equal footing and contrasted against each other and the experimental data.
