| This talk will review experimental study of the quantum dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensed atoms in 1D optical lattices. Topics will include Bloch oscillations, quantum state fluctuations, phase slips, and the KBT phase transition. It will also focus on the role of Bloch oscillations in future high performance atom interferometric sensors, including proposed gravity wave detectors. |
