Analysis of the different stationary states of a boundary driven Frenkel-Kontorova Model and the associated sine-Gordon equation shows the existence of several stable stationary regimes. In particular, for the given driving amplitude and frequency we show the coexistence of nonlinear evanescent wave, standing breather and fluxon motion back and forth in the restricted geometry of the chain. As a consequence our results suggest the conception of various amplifying, switching and detecting devices in vast varety of physical systems. Moreover our findings indicate also a frequency converting scenario by choosing appropriately the system length and injected fluxon number.
